We continue our PAIS Setter series with something a little different, someone doing something a little unexpected. His name is Peter Nilsson and he’s an educator, musician, author, consultant…a modern Renaissance Man.
In this walk, Liz and Peter discuss the creation and continued development of Schooled, the Musical, a theatrical endeavor that’s been described as ‘Hamilton meets The Sound of Music meets Good Night and Good Luck’…all represented in the contemporary American high school experience.
This isn’t exactly what we’ve come to expect from these kinds of shows. You know, a positive and realistic portrayal of modern education? Isn’t it all terrible? Well…no. Go ask someone involved in schools today and you’ll find just about every answer to every question, but what will resonate across experiences is the depth and value, not to mention the joy, of this work. It’s something we’ve made a bit of a mission at PAIS and something that’s made for the stage with Schooled. Match made in heaven, if you ask me.
