We are beyond blessed to be joined by Amy Mallett. Star and “wearer of multiple hats” at Future Games show, playstation, IGN and so so much more, Amy is a true pioneer and we get to learn why games’ media is not what you think it is and why stacking as many skills as you can still remains the key factor in a successful career.
Amy dives into what has made her career journey special, why you can “fail forward”, how saturation does not have to be a negative and what it takes to stand out from the rest of the pack.
We discuss what the regular person doesn’t quite appreciate about working in the industry, the differences between company targets or goals, and a where we feel gaming and games’ media is headed.
This is without doubt, a bucket list episode for me. Amy is a delight and a fountain of knowledge, and someone I’ve admired for a long time.
