Encouraging men to glorify God through manhood and embolden them to seek, display, and live out honor in every aspect of their lives.
How do we steward our time? How do we combat shame and guilt? Are we saying “yes” to the right things, and what do we need to say “no” to? Logan is joined by Ben Lindblom for the conversation, answering these questions and discussing what it looks like to spend time in the Word and in prayer in a “tyranny of the urgent” culture.
As men and followers of Jesus Christ, how do we fight against the tyranny of the urgent and the many ways the culture competes for our attention?
We often combat shame and guilt. (Romans 8:1, 1 Peter 5:8) This is prevalent in every man striving to meet the daily needs of his vocation and, as husbands and fathers, more importantly, the needs of our families. It’s easy to give in to the many distractions of our culture.
We must learn to steward our time and order our ways before the Lord, identifying what is distracting us and consuming our focus. (Ephesians 5:15-16)
Often, we say yes to many good things without realizing that we are burdening ourselves with it all. So the problem, then, is, what do we commit and say yes to? And does this line up with what God is calling us to? (Matthew 4:19, Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 12:28-30)
