What Was Amsterdam Really Like in the ‘90s?
The Dutch are known for their laid-back attitude, open-mindedness, and unique cultural quirks—but what was life really like in Amsterdam before the tourist crowds and Instagram moments took over?
Today, we chat with Greg Shapiro, an American-Dutch comedian, author, and longtime Amsterdam resident who experienced the city’s wild ‘90s firsthand.
Greg fell in love with a Dutch woman and stayed here for good. During the next half an hour we share some stories about how I saw my bosses crotch some years ago, benefits of public urination and get a pretty vivid image of Greg in a cactus costume.
Take a look for the Greg’s book, it’s a lot of fun!
And of course join Greg’s new upcoming shows!
