Tumbling Through Life

Tumbling Through Life
Podcast Description
I am so excited to introduce my next guest—my infamous Puggy, Ava! Now, let me take you back a bit. Ava was one of seven variations of ‘Ava' on the team her freshman year, and with that many versions of the same name, we obviously had to get creative with nicknames. And that's where 'Pug' came in. I’m sure she probably slightly hates it (because let’s be real, ‘Ava’ fits her too), but she’ll always be Pug to me.
Ava has such a unique and inspiring story, and I can’t wait to dive into her experience here at Skyridge. She was one of only three freshman flyers in her class, and she really hit the ground running with a strong start to her high school cheer career. Today, we’re going to talk about the highs and lows of flying and what it really takes to push through at an elite level.
I know this story is going to be so insightful for athletes, especially when it comes to confidence and mindset. If you’ve ever doubted yourself or faced a challenge that felt too big to overcome, this episode is definitely for you!"

Kaleb Rodriguez—aka Green Man 28—has been chasing rhythm since he was three years old. From violin prodigy to snare drum captain, Kaleb’s journey through music is filled with unexpected turns, relentless dedication, and a whole lot of personality.
In this episode, Kaleb opens up about:
Quitting violin to chase the “cool kid” dream of playing drums
Teaching himself marching snare in high school and transferring schools to level up
Joining UVU’s Green Man Group and performing at NCA for the first time
The culture shock of entering the cheer world—and how he learned to “speak cheer”
His growth from rookie to captain, and what changed when new coaches (like me 😅) stepped in
What it means to leave a legacy after 4 consecutive national championships
We share laughs about miscommunications, unexpected challenges, and the wild journey that comes with blending band kid energy and cheer team spirit.
