This show is your companion for navigating the beautifully messy adventure of life. Each episode invites you into heartfelt, inspiring, and expansive conversations, diving into topics like self trust, big moments and big decisions, navigating day jobs and finding purpose, and how can we thrive. You’ll feel uplifted and even enlightened each week as we share stories, and insights that spark your own ideas as well as conversations that offer completely new perspectives.
What happens when life literally stops?
Host Shannon Miles Halliday welcomes Abbey Brassfield, founder of On The Horizon Consulting, to share her story of burnout, illness, and transformation. Abbey recounts how flu in January 2024 rapidly became necrotizing strep pneumonia, leading to a medically induced coma, was placed on life support, and during this time has a near death experience as well as experienced other lives.
She describes entering a place filled with overwhelming peace, unconditional love, and a profound choice: stay… or return.
Abby chose to come back.
In this deeply moving conversation, we explore what she experienced, how it transformed her understanding of purpose, healing, burnout, intuition, faith, and why she believes we're all far more powerful than we realize.
Whether you're curious about near-death experiences, navigating burnout, searching for meaning, or simply wondering what really matters in life, this conversation is filled with hope.
In this episode we discuss:
• Abby's near-death experience
• Healing after critical illness
• Burnout and living out of alignment
• Why boundaries matter
• Intuition and resilience
• Returning to purpose
• Faith, love and the power of hope
• Choosing the life you truly want
