Her Christian faith wasn't something she discovered
late in life. It was always there — rooted in a
one-room cabin in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, in a
Pentecostal grandfather who pastored a church called
the House of Prayer, in a theology she carried for
80 years without ever needing to announce it.
