Creation Denied is a metalcore band from Northern Illinois delivering a relentless blend of crushing breakdowns, aggressive riffs, and emotionally charged intensity. Drawing influence from genre-defining acts such as Sepultura, The Acacia Strain, and classic-era As I Lay Dying, Creation Denied fuses old-school heaviness with modern production to create a sound that is both brutal and refined.
Founded by Anthony “Tater” Szatech (lead guitar, backing vocals), the band features Matt Pickett on bass, Austin Shelton on rhythm guitar, Shawn Dotson on lead vocals, and Caleb Jennings on drums. Caleb also handles recording, writing, melodic vocals, mixing, and mastering, giving the band full creative control over their sound and vision.
As a fully independent and self-produced metalcore act, Creation Denied represents the modern underground grind — authentic, disciplined, and unapologetically heavy. The band is currently promoting their latest single, “CASKET,” releasing everywhere on Halloween, a track that showcases their signature balance of brutality, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
