Snailgun on weekends, Rhys has been in to the clean the floors so theyre cleaner than ever and now he's questioning the actual cleaners, the tables upstairs however are another story and one in particular still shows remnants of illicit times of past. Adam and Dan join me at said table where we discuss their sweet new album Glass Walls. Snailgun are a three piece who have put together a very cool, very tight little outfit, theyre specialising in a tasty post-punk noise rock explosive, they also have mastered the art of the long song, they good at 6mins, they are good at 8mins. They draw influence from Shellac, Dinosaur Jr, Husker Du, Pixies and anyone else floating around in that noisy little pool. We chat about the album, the influences, the album release party at Cactus this Saturday, Black Flag My War, the incredible cover art and its back story, covering your own songs, Blood and Incantation, Going Swimming, country mini tours, a Chappell Roan cover and of course the Straight of Hormuz
Glass Walls out now – go listen
Album Release party Cactus Saturday May 2nd with supports from No Hoper, Waxman and Winternationale
