Supergroups of weekendz episode 38 we're in the studio joined by Annabel, Shauna and Jake from Leatherman. Leatherman are a 5 piece rock 'n' roll band from Melbourne casually blending power pop, 70s rock, 80s hair metal and some do wop harmonies. A supergroup dripping with experience from years of rocking out with sick and very accomplished bands like Clowns and Cable Ties to name a couple. Bursting with energy, a fun rock 'n' roll never say die attitude its the feel good soundtrack for the final daze. We chat about the new album, 'Turn you on', the inspirations, the songs, the videos, the vibe. We also talk about pop punk vs power pop, drummers, ciggies, first album philosophies, capturing inspiration no matter where you are, harmonies, forgery's, home made film sets, Stars in your Eyes vs Countdown, international split 7's, Clowns, Cables Ties, Licklash, Lothario, tambourines, cow bells, vibra slaps, sneaking into gigs under the guise of a drum tech and round things out with an assessment of the current state of Hellbounre.
