With 20 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Genie has spent her career helping people whose brains work differently thrive—in classrooms, in families, and now in organizations. Through Beyond Coaching and her NeuroAutonomy Method, she equips leaders with practical strategies: clarifying expectations without micromanaging, creating executive-function-friendly workflows, building psychologically safe, sensory-aware spaces, and communicating in ways that reduce friction. But her path wasn’t linear. After training in physical therapy, she transitioned into teaching in the U.S. and South America. Later, her own daughter’s ADHD diagnosis deepened her commitment to this work—shaping her mission to support adults navigating late diagnoses and to help leaders build environments where neurodivergent talent isn’t just included but empowered. In this episode, Genie opens up about:
🔸 Why one in five people is neurodivergent—and what that means for the workplace
🔸 The hidden costs of “masking” and how it drives burnout
🔸 Simple leadership practices that benefit all employees
🔸 And how cultural differences shape conversations about neurodivergence and inclusion
