DJ Star Q

DJ Star Q
Podcast Description
DJ Star Q, a Montreal native, has been spinning tracks since he was just 14 years old. As a member of the esteemed Little Thunder Soundcrew, he quickly established himself as a rising talent in the city's dancehall scene, earning the coveted title of Reggae DJ of the Year in 2008 with the group.
With a passion for music that knows no bounds, DJ Star Q set out on his own in 2009 to showcase his musical prowess. His dynamic style and uncanny ability to read the crowd have earned him a legion of fans, collaborating with some of the biggest names in dancehall music (solo and with Little Thunder Soundcrew), including Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, and Capleton.
DJ Star Q's talent is not limited to the dancehall scene. He has shared the stage with some of the most renowned DJs in the world, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, Clinton Sparks, DJ Whoo Kidd, Oso City, and DJ Puffy.
What sets DJ Star Q apart is his genuine love for the craft and the thrill of watching his audience come to life as he creates a soundtrack for their memories. He finds inspiration in all forms, whether through travel, trying out new DJ equipment, or simply taking time to reflect. His open format and feel-good music style continue to win over audiences in North America and internationally with his seamless transitions, powerful drops and infectious energy.
When he's not DJing at festivals (i.e. Montréal's Metro Metro Festival), weddings, corporate functions, and private parties, you can find DJ Star Q streaming live on Twitch, reaching audiences far and wide. He has even had the opportunity to play DJ sets for prestigious fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, and Armani Exchange.
Looking ahead to the future, DJ Star Q is eager to take his career to the next level. He took a break from hosting a Mix Show on the radio but has expressed interest in returning to the airwaves soon.
