I am your host Kimberly Walljasper, and together we will explore inclusion through expert interviews as well as personal stories. Whether you have experience with individuals with disabilities or not, this podcast is here to provide you with resources so that you can be educated in this area and build meaningful connections.

As a pre-service special education teacher with over eight years of experience working with various nonprofits like the Penguin Project, Spectrum Project, and Best Buddies, I’ve had the privilege of learning firsthand about the diverse challenges and triumphs faced by individuals with disabilities. From navigating the early days of volunteering to becoming deeply involved in advocacy, I’ve gained valuable insights into inclusion, adaptability, and understanding. This journey has taught me the importance of patience, perseverance, and building genuine connections. I understand the concerns you may have because I’ve walked that path myself, learning and growing alongside the incredible individuals I’ve had the honor to support.

Through my experience with individuals with disabilities, I discovered the incredible capabilities within every person, regardless of their challenges. This realization changed how I view inclusion, teaching me that everyone has a unique voice and story that deserves to be heard. This led me to start my podcast, where I can spotlight those stories and amplify voices often overlooked. Now, I want to share these powerful insights, personal triumphs, and practical guidance with you, helping to foster understanding and a more inclusive world for all.
