In this HER Spotlight Edition, Jas and Millie sit down with Coach Nola Henry, fresh off making history as the youngest coach and first to win a championship with Unrivaled. We dive into her experience leading the Rose Club, the shift from 5-on-5 to 3-on-3, and how she motivated elite WNBA players to buy in and compete at the highest level.
Coach Nola also opens up about her personal journey from her college playing days to quickly rising through the coaching ranks, including her time with the LA Sparks and now stepping into a new role as assistant coach for the Dallas Wings. We talk about what she’s most proud of so far and how she’s feeling heading into a season with major talent joining the squad.
And of course, we had some fun Nola shares her go to gym playlist, something fans might not know about her, and advice she’d give to young women of color looking to follow in her footsteps.
It’s inspiring, it’s real, and it’s full of game.
