I sat down with Lancaster City Councilor John Hursh to discuss the ins and outs of local government. Lancaster City is the most Democratic part of the conservative Lancaster County, but in recent years its suburbs have begun swinging blue. We discussed the success of Democrats across the county in 2025, what it’s like governing under Trump 2.0, and how good policy starts at the local level.
