In this special International Women’s Day episode of A Life Abroad, we speak with a student and colleague from FH Salzburg who grew up in Iran and moved to Austria to study and build her career in technology. As the first person in her family to leave her home country, she shares the courage it took to start a new chapter abroad together with her husband.
We talk about the realities for women in the tech field in Iran and Austria, the challenges and opportunities she encountered along the way, and the dreams that continue to guide her journey. At the same time, she paints a beautiful picture of Iranian culture, hospitality, and everyday life, while reflecting on her experiences of adapting to Austria.
