The Mitchell County Long-Term Resilience Group is working to provide free firewood for the upcoming winter. The organization has scheduled a community workday on Saturday, November 7 and are asking volunteers to come together from 10 AM to 2 PM to cut and stack firewood which will then be made available for free to county residents. Stephanie Pitman with the group joins us to talk about the workday and a raffle going on that is raising money for continued recovery efforts for Helene, plus gives a rundown on what the Long Term Resilience Group is doing right now for county residents still affected by the hurricane.
