How I Survived is a podcast about recreation at residential and day schools in Canada’s North that celebrates the strength, resilience, spirit, and creativity of former students and Survivors.

How I Survived is a collaboration between the NWT Recreation and Parks Association and the University of Alberta.

The research and podcast have been supported by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the NWT and Nunavut Lotteries, and the Government of Canada’s Department of Heritage.
