Joel is currently a the Lead Science Teacher for the Little Rock School District. He discusses the national and state movement toward High-Quality Instructional Material (HQIM) and how it is affecting teacher practice in the district. The group discusses some of the benefits and costs of the shift in landscape. Also, they discuss the pushback on this new approach and how to be more receptive to it’s purposes.
