Based in Springfield/Jacksonville/Bloomington/Champaign, if you miss the days of classic emo with a new modern twist, Short Notice is the band that everyone should check out. Blending in new rhythms and a unique sonic pallet from their varying backgrounds, Short Notice is set to embark on their first mini tour this fall.
With influences as wide ranging as metal, Rush and the early 2000s emo/pop punk scene of Central Illinois, Short Notice has already appeared as an opening band for several regional touring acts with more to come.
I sat down with them in September in the green room at Pizza Records to get the inside scoop of where it all comes from and where they are going.
