This is all about a beaver…and you.
Scott Campsall talks about a relative who had a beaver who built a dam, flooded the land, and took out a road. No matter how many times the dam got torn apart by hand, it came back. The only thing that slowed it down, even temporarily, was dynamite.
This episode is built around that story and what the beaver was actually demonstrating the entire time: that the people who outlast everyone else aren't doing anything dramatic. They just keep picking up the next stick.
We cover why motivation is one of the least reliable tools you have, why the problem you think you're solving is rarely the real problem, what children absorb from watching adults persist, and how to start again without starting from zero.
Okami Kai Martial Arts & Fitness serves families across Uxbridge, Port Perry, Stouffville, and the broader Durham Region. Programs include Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, Okinawan Kobudo, Lil' Dragons, and adult fitness and self-defence.
