Welcome back to Omaha Mom Talks! I’m so excited to have you join us for today’s episode.
In this episode, we’re joining by Pediatrician Dr. Phil Boucher. Together we’re diving into the topic of ADHD in children.
My hope is that after listening to this episode, parents can feel informed as they navigate the evaluation process without feeling overwhelmed or like they’re getting it “wrong.”
What to expect:
- Early signs of ADHD that often get dismissed as “normal kid behavior”
- How ADHD presents differently in girls
- What the evaluation and diagnosis process actually looks like
- Honest conversations about medication, including fears around safety and addiction
- Therapy options and supportive services (OT, routines, emotional regulation support)
- Nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle factors that can impact attention and behavior
- I also share my personal experience navigating ADHD within my own family — including advocating for my daughter when concerns were initially dismissed
If you’ve ever wondered “Is this ADHD or just typical behavior?” or felt unsure about where to start – you’re not alone. This episode
is here to help you feel more informed, supported, and less overwhelmed.
