Dániel Sallói is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a winger and striker for Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City and the Hungary national team. After moving to the U.S. as an exchange student, he rose through Sporting KC’s academy and signed as a Homegrown Player in 2016. He made an instant impact, scoring the winning goal in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup Final, and later delivered a breakout season in 2018. Following a dip in form, Sallói rebounded in 2021 with 16 goals, earning MLS All-Star honors and MVP finalist recognition. Known for his creativity, clinical finishing, and loyalty to the club, Sallói has become a staple in Sporting’s attack and now wears the #10 shirt, a symbol of his leadership and longevity in Kansas City.
