In this episode of NAWIC Couch, we meet our first father–daughter guests: Walker Corporation Project Manager Laura and her father, Richard, whose construction career spans more than five decades.
They reflect on their different pathways into the industry, what it’s like working together, and how construction has changed across generations. Laura shares how encouragement, mentoring and everyday acts of allyship helped build her confidence and career, while Richard discusses the importance of treating women as equals, sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation.
