Season 2, Episode 4 (even though we’re convinced this is episode 5) continues our look at Broadway shows currently on tour in 4 ‘micromesters,’ each one with a different focus: Turn Up the Jukebox – Jukebox Musicals, Bookish – musicals based on books, Hooray for Hollywood – musicals that were first films, and All Original – shows that haven’t existed in any other form before they were made into musicals. This episode looks at the Alicia Keys jukebox musical, Hell’s Kitchen. We tackle the show’s effective use of one musical ‘moment’ in an artist’s legacy as plot rather than a lifetime of work!
