In this episode of Business Growth Spotlight, Heidi welcomes Tom LeNoble, a philanthropist, CEO, and transformational coach, for a powerful and heartfelt conversation. Tom opens up about his evolution from corporate leadership into coaching, and how his personal journey, including moments of challenge and growth, has shaped the way he leads and serves today. From guiding new coaches to supporting underserved communities, Tom shares how trust, visibility, and a strong sense of purpose have played key roles in both his business success and philanthropic efforts.
Throughout the conversation, Tom emphasizes that resilience means more than just getting through tough times; it’s about learning from them and continuing to move forward with intention. He explains how empathy and compassion are essential in coaching, especially after experiencing personal hardships, and how his work with women’s issues and first-generation students has deepened his approach. Leadership challenges, he notes, often stem from managing people and growth simultaneously, and corporate experience has helped shape a coaching style rooted in self-awareness and personal development. He also speaks to the importance of visibility in business as a way to attract the right opportunities and clients, and how trusting the process is key to lasting transformation.
- ”Every storm runs out of rain.”
Tom’s BIO
I’ve had the honor of building a diverse and fulfilling career across a range of renowned companies, from industry leaders like MCI (VZ), Walmart.com (WMT), Palm (HP), and Facebook (META), to several thriving startups. I’ve contributed to notable ventures such as SupportSpace (BBY), iPrint.com (acquired), and SpeedDate (MTCH), among others.
Alongside my corporate experience, I founded Taranga Enterprises, a consulting business focused on driving results and innovation. Over the years, I’ve held leadership positions across operations, customer service, human resources, mergers and acquisitions, sales, and coaching.
A passion for coaching has shaped my journey, allowing me to guide countless individuals and teams. This experience has reinforced my belief in the life-changing impact of coaching. I am the CEO of The Academy for Coaching Excellence, where we empower individuals and train the next generation of coaches. Additionally, I serve as a Leadership Coach with the Miller Center at Santa Clara University, where I work with entrepreneurs around the globe.
As a professional speaker and author, I share insights on leadership, personal empowerment, and the transformative power of coaching.
Outside of my professional work, I am deeply committed to philanthropy, focusing on underserved communities, women, youth, and education. Mentorship is close to my heart, as it brings clarity, growth, and transformation to individuals and groups alike.
I’ve also faced the personal challenges of life-threatening illness, loss, and survival. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for life and the power of resilience. Despite the hardships, I remain fully present to each moment, affirming with conviction, “I’m Still Here!”
