I need to be honest with you right now. The world feels loud and scary.Everyone has an opinion, a cause, a purpose, and a strategy, or even more confusing, a “five-step plan” for your success.
If you are anything like me, deep down, most of us are just trying to find the courage to take the next right step, in our work, in our relationships, in our dreams.
This is mainly what I was pondering on a rainy morning last week. I was then taken back to a conversation with my dad before his passing.
HE told me I was so brave.
At times, I close my eyes and take myself back to that moment. I hear him repeat it in my mind’s eye and feel the same way… fear…impostor syndrome and hesitation about what could be next.
It has been over 10 years since my dad left this world, and I wish I could say I always feel brave, confident, and courageous. But I don’t think that way. I also know that many of the women I speak also to feel afraid, unsure, and lacking the courage to…well, live the life we all aspire to.
That’s what Brave Moves is all about.
We live in a time when uncertainty feels constant. The economy shifts, industries evolve, social media scrolls faster than ever, and somewhere between the noise and the comparison, our confidence gets quieter.
But here’s the thing: confidence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build.
And you build it through action, small, intentional, brave moves.
For me, bravery was not about being ready to lose my dad as he entered hospice. It was about being there, knowing it was going to devastate me to lose him.
This last lesson from my dad continues to stay with me. I am brave because I have fought dragons. I am brave because I suit up one small step at a time.
So perhaps you are not facing the loss of a significant person in your life. Maybe you are wondering about what this all means for you. What am I talking about here?
Let’s begin here:
✨ What Counts as a Brave Move?
It doesn’t have to be quitting your job or launching a business.Sometimes it’s:
* Saying no when you usually say yes.
* Starting again after failing (or resting).
* Asking for help when you’ve always done it alone.
* Speaking up in a room where you once stayed quiet.
Those moments are where courage lives.
I not only see in others
🧭 Why We Need It Now
We’ve been conditioned to wait until we feel ready. But “ready” rarely comes.
What the world needs, what you need, isn’t more certainty. It’s more about trusting yourself.Trust that you can handle what’s ahead.Trust that even if it’s messy, you’ll find your footing.Trust that the next small step will lead to something better.
And when we act from that place, when we choose brave over perfect, we create ripple effects.
Our confidence grows. Our ideas grow. Our influence grows. That’s how change happens, personally and collectively.
🚀 The Vision Behind Brave Moves
So many times in life, I have felt unsure and uncertain. I have waited for inspiration or a sign from above, letting me know what to do.
Brave Moves. It’s not just a daily podcast. It’s a movement. It’s a reminder that growth doesn’t require grand gestures; it’s built through tiny acts of courage practiced consistently.
Every day, I’ll share a short reflection or action step to help you strengthen your confidence muscle. Because courage compounds. One day, one choice, one brave move at a time.
I don’t have all the answers, but I know that if I share what I know, I will learn what you know.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, uncertain, or a little afraid to take the next step, you’re not alone. This space is your nudge. Your permission slip. Your reminder that brave is enough.
Let’s start building confidence, together.
